Nordic ‘hygge’ in the heart of the burren.

“One of the loveliest cottages I have ever stayed in. Captures the heart and soul of the Burren mixed with a Danish design and aesthetic. I could not recommend a better place to stay… “

When You Have a Burren Heart – by Hanne T. Fisker Photography

Are you a lover of nature, an outdoor enthusiast, an artist seeking inspiration or simply a human being in need of a place of deep stillness and reflection to unwind and unplug and a space to simply be? A stay in Hanne’s Cottage could be your next home away from home.

Suitable for one or two people travelling together. Not one, but two rooms are yours throughout your stay.

Hanne’s Cottage is nestled on an edenic plot of land surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of a special place in the Burren, Co. Clare. On days of mist and sideways rain, the stove is lit and the kettle on.

respite and space – classic scandi style

“I came after a hectic two weeks of doing business in New York and London. I needed respite and space. This is exactly what I got. The house is located in a remote natural environment of astonishing beauty – a sparse and expansive coastal landscape. The house is exquisitely furnished in classic Scandi style. There is no clutter and no unnecessary embellishments. But everything you need is there: WiFi, coffee, hot showers, a comfortable bed, warmth and space to think. It is the perfect setting for a quiet, contemplative break from a busy world. Hanne is a gracious host, more than willing to let her guests unwind in a way that best suits their needs and mood. I spent my days reading, writing, meditating, driving the Atlantic Way, thinking, and eating at the local pubs.  My only hesitancy in recommending Hanne’s house is that it will get harder to book in once the rest of the world discovers this very special place.”
